It's nice to meet you. Thank you for being here. You are an editor, and as I understand it, you have recently published your first novel. Congratulations on getting it in on the ground floor of the burgeoning literature industry. It's not been translated into English yet, but as I understand it, the English translation of the title is "Tenderness for the Dead," which may or may not be a good translation... Oh, I have to ask you the question I always hate to be asked, but could you tell us a little bit about the novel?

Danishevsky:
We have to say that in modern Russia, that resembles a state the was built inside a neurosis, a huge part of population is marginalized or stigmatized for this or that attribute, we are talking about homosexuals, who can’t talk about themselves, about cancer patients, that can’t talk about themselves, about domestic violence, that is subjected to silence, we are talking about the fact, that in modern Russia a huge part of population, where intelligentsia is very often also included, it is like a forced, is forced to be aware of itself more than others that try to find themselves, and this book is dedicated to those, who can not find themselves a place in this country, affected by neurosis and by chauvinism. In modern Russia a large number of population is stigmatized and subjected to everyday violence, and all of it exists in a state of silence, and this book is dedicated to studying not these groups of population, but this violence that they are subjected to by the society, and by themselves, by the neurosis that the modern society grows in them.
